The heat of Los Angeles: A rare non-'80s earworm for our last day in L.A.
I've probably watched this video of a Southwest jet flying across Los Angeles and landing at LAX a dozen times since we made plans to hit the Totally '80s Roadshow at the Hollywood Bowl.
And yes, I know it's not an '80s song but it's an earworm nonetheless. And it's an appropriate tune for our final day here, since the heat is definitely climbing each day, doing us a favor actually as we prepare to return to Florida during the pre-dawn hours of Monday.
We've tried to use our free time here productively, visiting Amoeba Records, where I bought the soundtrack to Streets of Fire (and another non-'80s movie to remain nameless). Sean Daly is spending today at Disneyland, but because I'm no longer 12 years old, I'll spend it wandering Hollywood Boulevard again, in search of unique hot dog stands and out-of-print movie posters.
Thanks to everyone who came out to L.A. for this adventure. Next year, we promise a trip closer to our East Coast friends, and far from the heat of Los Angeles.
