Help pick the next '80s cover song for Rubix Cubed
The '80s needs your help! Okay, maybe not the entire decade, but Stuck in the '80s' official cover band, Rubix Cubed is trying to find the right songs to their playlist and have started a contest to do so. Click here to help out.
Of course, with any contest, there are some rules: First, the Song has to have been released from 1980-1989. It needs to be pop, retro, or New Wave (sorry, no Scorpions, Quiet Riot, Def Leppard, etc.). And the tune needs to have been popular enough for anyone to instantly know it.
Starting Aug. 15, Rubix Cubed will name the top 5 submitted songs and place them in an online poll. Fans then get until Aug. 22 to pick the song that will included in the band's new setlist.
If you picked the winning song, Rubix Cubed will shower the winner with some cool '80s goodie. Visit the band's official website and submit your suggested songs here. s from Rubix Cubed.
For those Stuck in the '80s fans around Tampa Bay, if you haven't seen a Rubix Cubed show, they're playing Saturday (July 31) at "Play" in Ybor City at 1701 E 8th Ave., Tampa. It's right across the street from the Crowbar in Ybor City. Also, there is a best '80s costume contest that night; winner takes a $50 bar tab at Play.
