Here comes Genesis

Genesis_2 The Genesis reunion tour is about to start its North American leg. Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks begin rehearsals tonight and play Toronto on Sept. 7. The tour winds through the largest U.S. cities and finishes Oct. 13 in Los Angeles. (Click here for tour dates.)

For fans wondering what their set list might be, take a look at this. This is the set list from their show in Berne, Switzerland, in June (web links to go Youtube videos of each song, when available):

Nice to see them bringing out "Carpet Crawlers" for an encore finale. But I wonder if the tune, recorded during the band's Peter Gabriel era, will make the U.S. set list. And four songs from the "Invisible Touch" album? I'll confess: I was listening to that very CD on the way to work today, but I'd gladly trade "Land of Confusion" for "Abacab."

The buzz on their shows has been all mostly positive: "'Duke' is such an incredible opener for a show. Phil sang 'No Son Of Mine' so insistently that it sent shivers down my spine. 'The Cage' medley, 'Los Endos,' 'Domino' … where to begin praising it, where to stop?" one fan wrote on a Genesis fan site.
