Here's a little mood music for you

Adamsandler Some movies just scream "I'm from the '80s" -- "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," "Last American Virgin,"" Risky Business." But what about the movies and TV shows that weren't actually filmed in the '80s?

There are plenty of those that we love too -- The Wedding Singer, Donnie Darko, Freaks & Geeks, 200 Cigarettes. And that's the subject of this week's Stuck in the 80s podcast. Click here to listen or click here to get all the episodes for free on iTunes.

For my money, "The Wedding Singer" will always be the ultimate post-80s movie about our favorite decade. But listen to the show to get co-host Cathy Wos' defense of her favorite show -- Freaks & Geeks.

Freaksandgeeks "It was probably one of the most smartly written shows ever, with real-life people who weren't plastic and Hollywood-beautiful, so therefore it died," Cathy explains.

And be sure to catch Times pop music critic Sean Daly's defense of ... well, his entire lifestyle.

Funyuns180_2 "Let's be honest -- I ain't getting any thinner. I got a lot of Funyuns in my future -- not a lot of fitness," Daly admits.

So click here to listen to all the fun and to play this week's "Name that 80s Tune" challenge. And remember Adam Sandler's immortal advice from Wedding Singer: "Alcohol equals puke equals smelly mess equals nobody likes you!"

The winners of Name that 80s Tune from Episode 91:

  • Matt in Denver
  • Megan Horne in Australia
  • Donnie Merritt of North Carolina
  • Ray Nelson
  • Mark "Bassnote" Kenneally of Illinois
  • Walter Cox of Ridgeland, Miss.
  • Derek Lane-Waters of Michigan
