Is Hoff's reality show worth the hassle?
David Hasselhoff's new reality TV show -- The Hasselhoffs -- debuts Sunday at 10 p.m. on A&E. From what I've heard, it follows The Hoff around as he deals with his two daughters -- one 20, one 18 -- and their quest for fame of their own.
So if you're thinking this is like Gene Simmons' Family Jewels or The Osbournes, the answer appears to be "yes." Great, more celebrities who are only famous because of their parents. To quote the great Freddie Mercury, is this the world we created?
I have the screener DVD to watch, but the Washington Post beat me to it, calling it a "dull and transparently desperate reality series."
"Just when psychiatrists have decided to strike narcissistic personality disorder from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual," the Post says, "the Hasselhoffs make a clear case for reinstating it."
