For the honor of Grayskull! She-Ra turns 25

She-Ra_25thAnniversary-DVD.jpgShe-Ra, aka the "Princess Adora" and aka "He-Man's Sexy Twin Sister," has officially turned 25 years old. Geesh, what do you buy for a Princess of Power who has it all? How about She-Ra: The Complete Series 25th Anniversary Edition on DVD?

The box set will include stickers, an iron-on (seriously cool!) and an episode guide. Cue the obligatory quote from toymaker Mattel...

"As the most powerful woman in the universe, She-Ra continues to add her strength to our collector portfolio," said Mattel's Scott Neitlich. "Being able to give fans new collectibles and keeping our heroine relevant after 25 years through new adaptations is a true testament to the iconic stature of She-Ra."

Okay, back to the important stuff. As we all know by now after a childhood spent entirely in nerdery, She-Ra was first introduced in March 1985 in the animated feature film, He-Man and She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword. And just like Laverne & Shirley and Mork & Mindy, it was spinoff time. She-Ra: Princess of Power began airing in September 1985. (Don't forget He-Man and She-Ra: A Christmas Special! Yeah, there really was one.)

How much would you pay for this box set celebrating "a timeless symbol of empowerment for women of all ages?" It's $99. A She-Ra action figure is also available in case you have a little extra money.
