Howard Jones to play Clearwater's Capitol Theatre on Nov. 1
Howard Jones and his music are full of great advice. Don't try to live your life in one day. Things can only get better. Ummm, Like to get to know you well? In any case, if you were to live your life in one day, make it Nov. 1 when HoJo returns to Tampa to play Clearwater's historic Capitol Theatre, the perfect intimate venue for the electronic tune maestro.
Though Jones has been touring a lot on his Human's Lib/Dream into Action tour (where he plays both albums in their entirety), his Clearwater stop is billed as a "greatest hits" show, which is fine by me. I caught the same type of show a few years ago in Largo and it was amazing. Jones loves to stop between songs and tell the stories behind him, creating a "behind the music" feel to the night.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, Sept. 8, at noon at the Ruth Eckerd Hall Ticket Office. I've heard it's a general admission show, which is a nice change of pace. (By the way, Jones is also playing Epcot in Disney World on Nov. 3 and 4, but trust me: If you can pick, take the Clearwater show.) Here's a full list of tour dates.
