Illness forces Fixx to cancel summer dates, including stop in Largo

How does that Fixx song go again? "Stand or fall ... State your peace tonight..." In this case, the Fixx/Facebook photodecision is "fall" because the Fixx has been forced to cancel seven shows on its U.S. summer tour, including July 30's show at the Largo Cultural Center. (Ticket refunds are available at the box office or by calling 727-587-6793.)

According to a press release from Largo's venue, it's due to an "artist illness." The Fixx's official website isn't as specific:

"Unfortunately, The Fixx will need to cancel the US Summer tour dates between July 23rd and August 6th. That includes, Napa, Daytona Beach, Orlando, Largo,  Dallas, Austin and Denver. We apologize to all for any inconvenience this may have caused, and hopefully we will have rescheduled dates for you soon."

No word either from lead singer Cy Curnin's official website, though the Fixx fan message board seems to indicate he's the one not feeling well. Hope he's up and ready for the Labor Day show at the Hollywood Bowl.
