It's a dead man's party: Danny Elfman taking questions in live chat

Danny Elfman, former frontman of my beloved Oingo Boingo and now the marquee score composer for just about every cool movie out there, is taking fan questions on Tuesday, May 8, at 9 p.m. Eastern time. Sadly, it's not an official Stuck in the '80s chat, because god knows I'd love to talk his ear off, but you'll find this particular chat right nere on (He's promoting his latest movie work: for Tim Burton's Dark Shadows, starring Johnny Depp)

Oingo Boingo called it quits in 1995; Elfman would later say he developed significant hearing loss during the years with the band, so he continues to write off any idea of a reunion for his own health concerns and that of his bandmates. In case you're wondering which '80s flicks he is credited with providing music for, here's the list:

  • Batman (1989)
  • Scrooged (1988)
  • Hot to Trot (1988)
  • Big Top Pee-wee (1988)
  • Midnight Run (1988)
  • Beetlejuice (1988)
  • Summer School (1987)
  • Wisdom (1987)
  • Back to School (1986)
  • Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985)
  • Forbidden Zone (1982)
