Thirty years ago today, John Lennon left. To be honest, I couldn't stand his 1980 album Double Fantasy. And maybe that's because I was too young to appreciate his work, the Beatles and anything beyond Kiss Double Platinum. Or maybe it was because, like many critics of the era said, it wasn't all that good in the first place. Yet of all the songs on the uneven album, to me anyway, this tune still has legs. And so I expect to hear it a lot today, starting right now.
