Living in their own private Idaho

B52s The B-52s are back in the studio to finish recording their first album in 15 years, leaving fans to ask: What took so long?

"After the 'Cosmic Thing' and 'Good Stuff' tours, we were a little burned out," lead singer Fred Schneider told "We just had our in's and out's and things going on. It took a while for things to fall into place."

The album, which will be released next year, has 11 tracks and the classic B-52's sound, Schneider said.

The band is performing a handful of live shows during the summer and fall as well. Click here to see the upcoming dates.
