Look who's coming back to Tampa Bay: Air Supply!
Maybe you missed Air Supply's show last summer in Tampa's Ybor City. Understandable. You gotta be a hardcore "Airhead" to croon "I'm All Outta Love" to passing pierced goths and beer-soused frat boys. But you missed a seriously fantastic show.
And now, as fate would have it, you have another chance to see Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock because Air Supply is playing St. Petersburg's Palladium Theatre on Aug. 28. (Click here for tour dates closing to your home.)
I know I'm at risk at having to turn in my "man card" -- seriously, can we find a less lame way of just saying I like light FM music from time to time? -- but there's something about Air Supply's music that simply endures. I'm telling you, hearing our fave Aussies turning Making Love Outta Nothing At All into an anthem feels more relevant that watching Bono and the boy trot around onstage with a white flag singing Sunday Bloody Sunday.
There, I said it. I'm not taking it back. Just buy a couple tickets and then tell me afterward that I'm wrong.
