Lost and found: Zebra knows the summer's definitely gone
Formed as a Led Zeppelin cover band, New Orleans’s Zebra 1982 debut album went gold. The lead track for their 1984 follow-up album, No Tellin’ Lies, included the interesting video for Wait Until the Summers Gone.
Highlights include a model painted as a zebra, a giant chessboard, lots of eyeballs and the singing of Randy Jackson who registers high-octave sounds not normally heard from a male unless a vise grip is involved.
Zebra was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Farm in 2010 and continues to perform.
