"Mr. C" turns 80

Happydays Just like you can't separate some songs from the movies they appear in, you can't separate some actors from their signature roles. Leonard Nimoy and Star Trek ... Rick Schroder and Silver Spoons ... Gil Gerald and Buck Rogers ... and Tom Bosley and Happy Days.

The "Boz" turns 80s years old today. But even though he'll always been know to TV fans as "Howard Cunningham" on "Happy Days" (from 1974 to 1984), Bosley has kept himself busy over the years.

  • He made 4 guest appearances in "The Love Boat" in the 80s.
  • He played "Sheriff Amos Tupper" for 18 episodes of "Murder, She Wrote."
  • He starred in "Father Dowling Mysteries" from 1987 to 1991.
  • He's popped up playing bit roles on The Drew Carey Show, Family Guy, Hotel, E.R. and Port Charles.

Basically, we're saying we're pretty sure Tom Bosley is a cybernetic creature sent back from the future to help make TV shows. Happy birthday, Mr. C.
