Name the best makeout songs of the '80s

Thekiss The '80s were made for making out, thus the decade was full of makeout songs. But which was your personal favorite?

Stuck in the '80s got an e-mail today from "newly single Wildchick Mandy," who asks us: "I'm not sure if this is to closely associated with the "Mix Tapes" show, but I was wondering what your favorite makeout songs of the '80s are. I'd personally pick Waiting for a Girl Like You from Foreigner or Glory of Love by Peter Cetera."

Two good picks, Mandy. And we'll reveal our final picks on our next podcast. And I would say that a good makeout song isn't necessarily a good romantic, love song. Or even a sexy song. It's about seizing the day, grabbing someone and planting the perfect kiss. It's an art form that is never truly perfected, only pursued.

Here are five that pop to mind:

CARELESS WHISPER (Wham!): "We could have been so good together. We could have lived this dance forever." [Video]

LADY IN RED (Chris De Burgh): "I'll never forget the way you look tonight." [Listen]

HUMAN (The Human League): "Nothing could change the way I feel. No one else could ever take your place." [Video]

GOOD FEELING (Violent Femmes): "It always seems like your leaving, when I need you here just a little longer." [Listen]

Add your favorites and see if we pick one for the podcast.
