New Order to reunite (sorta) for two shows in October

peter_hook.jpgHow did I miss this? New Order has decided to reunite -- without bassist Peter Hook -- for two concerts this October in Paris and Brussels. According to the great, never-wrong, and slightly hirsuite website, the shows will "benefit ailing artist and film producer Michael Shamberg, who produced the band’s videos for True Faith, Touched By the Hand of God and Regret."

Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris, Gillian Gilbert, Phil Cunningham and Tom Chapman will perform Oct. 17 in Brussels and Oct. 18 in Paris. The gigs are the band's first live shows in five years -- and Gilbert’s first with the band since 2001. Get the full scoop from, along with the reason why Hook is taking a pass on the reunion.
