No Mr. T cameo in new A-Team movie? I pity the fans
A-Team movie role call time! Just raise your hands when your name is called. ... Dwight Schultz? Check. Dirk Benedict? Check? George Peppard? Okay, obviously not. Mr. T? (Cricket, cricket). Sorry, '80s fans but the word is out that our favorite mohawked actor will not make a cameo in the new A-Team movie.
George Roush at Latinoreview.com bumped into Mr. T at a Los Angeles gym last week and the actor said he declined to appear in the upcoming movie.
"He said it wasn't about money, because he turned down the chance to appear in the film before that was even discussed," Roush writes. "He told me he has nothing against the cast or even the fact that they're doing a remake. But a cameo is just something he wasn't interested in. He said he's very happy with his life right now and enjoys giving back to the community."
Yeah, that makes sense. Sorta. And it's no guarantee that Schultz ("Murdock") and Benedict ("Faceman") will still go through with plans to appear. But wouldn't it be cool to acknowledge your longtime fans and make a cameo even though it doesn't mean much to you personally, Mr. T? No hard feelings, because I don't want you going all Clubber Lang on me, but make the appearance and then donate any fee to the community.
Fans just love it when a plan comes together!
