Paul Weller ... Come on, get happy!

February

Brit rocker Paul Weller is on a rampage these days. The leader of 80s institutions The Jam and Style Counci l is foaming at the mouth about the charitable projects of his kindred rockers, taking on the likes of Bono, Bob Geldof, Sting, Freddie Mercury and more.

Consider these observations gleaned from an interview published today on Gigwise.com:

About Geldof, who recently won a British lifetime achievement award: "What’d he win it for? Can’t be for his music, man."

On Sting: "No edge, no attitude, no nothing."

His quotes about the others? Ummm, we can't reproduce that here. Let's just say Gigwise.com must have fewer profanity restrictions than, hmmm, the rest of the civilized world. (But feel free to click here to read it on their website.)

Paulie, what's with all the hating? Perhaps it's all just a little envy from someone whose career and philanthropy is nowhere NEAR the lifetime achievement award status. (Zing!)
