Podcast: Live Aid ... 25 years later
Was Live Aid the Woodstock of the '80s generation? Or was it a 16-hour variety show that misfired when it could have soared? That's what we try to figure out during this week's Stuck in the '80s podcast celebrating the 25th anniversary of Live Aid.
What will you learn during the show? For starters, we'll give you our Top 5 Moments from Philadelphia and London -- some good, some bad. (Bob Dylan = Bad!) We'll debate the merits of Phil Collins' transatlantic flight, enabling him to play both shows during the day. And of course, we'll tell some weepy stories about how we spent July 13, 1985, including our collective fetish for uncooked cans of pasta.
