Preserve your body in carbon during Star Wars Weekends at Disney
Han Solo's forced hiberation in carbonite is a memorable scene in The Empire Strikes Back, though I doubt many Star Wars fans would envy experiencing the process themselves. But hey, you're gonna get the chance anyway. Guests at Disney's Hollywood Studios can relive the freezing scene with the new "Carbon-Freeze Me" exhibit, debuting this month during the park's Star Wars Weekends.
Orlando Attractions magazine says guests will get their likeness cast as a three-dimensional, eight-inch figuring inside a "Carbon Freezing Chamber." Digital cameras capture the face and then the images are reconstructed in a computer. Four weeks later, the completed figurine arrives on your doorstep -- preferably without a bounty hunter in tow.
Total cost: $99.95 (including the blinky fake wristwatch you get), but the empire will compensate you if it dies.
