Is Prince getting ready for a tour?
Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life. And it'd all be a whole lot easier getting through it if his royal purpleness Prince would do a nice long tour again.
Good news comes today from Pollstar.com, which says Prince is planning a series of dates in Chicago. Technically, only one date -- Sept. 24 at the United Center -- has been formally announced, but there's indications it could become a longer series of shows. And maybe a tour? We can only hope.
Pollstar says Prince is working with Rebuild The Dream, an organization that "brings ordinary people together to rebuild communities and work towards a brighter economic future." Not sure how nonpartisan that sounds, but we'll take Prince anyway we can get him.
If you're curious what songs Prince has been playing live lately, here's the setlist for a May 30 show in Melbourne, Australia. And yes, it actually includes FOUR sets of encores.
