Replacements documentary to debut at Tampa film fest
Color Me Obsessed, the long-awaited documentary about 80s rockers The Replacements, will make its world premiere March 26 at the Gasparilla International Film Festival in Tampa.
The website Slicingupeyeballs.com says the only other showing is April 2 at the Wisconsin Film Festival in Madison, Wis.
Color Me Obsessed is directed by Gorman Bechard and is the product of more than 140 interviews. The film is billed as "the potentially true story of the most influential, always drunk, self-destructive, and yet frighteningly brilliant rock band of all time as told through the eyes of their fans, followers and fellow musicians."
The movie's title is a song that was released in 1983 on the band's second album, Hootenanny. Click here to visit the movie's official website.
