Rick Springfield trades guitar for stethoscope, returning to 'General Hospital'
Rick Springfield has done everything for you, as the song goes, but you've done nothing for him! So the very least you can do to make it up is watch ABC's General Hospital in March when Springfield returns as Dr. Noah Drake for a few episodes.
Entertainment Weekly says Springfield will return to the set of the soap opera in February. The storyline is that Dr. Noah Drake is back in Port Charles to see his son Dr. Patrick Drake. It'll be his first appearance on the show since 2008.
And no, of course, Rick isn't giving up music for acting, but I'm allowed a certain amount of poetic license with headlines. One thing Rick is giving up is cruise ships. His annual fan cruises were a big hit, but starting this year, he's moving the fun to Club Med in Mexico. Cancun to be exact. The four-day adventure -- featuring concerts, meet-and-greets, sing-alongs, as well as free meals and booze -- is Nov. 8-12.
The price? It starts at $1,399 per person. You better love somebody a whole lot to cough up that much green.
