'Saved by the Bell' impromptu reunion shocks Tiffani Thiessen
Saved by the Bell was barely an '80s phenomenon; it slipped in during the final year of our beloved decade. So sue us if we still get chills when we see cast members reunited on TV. (Go Bayside High!)
Tiffani Thiessen (she dropped the "Amber" making her sound a little less like a stripper and more like a made-for-TV movie star now) was the latest victim. The actress, who appears these days on USA's White Collar (also on streaming Netflix, where I spend every single weeknight hour), was on the Today show Tuesday when who should appear? Dennis Haskins (Principal Belding), who popped on the set with his classic line, "Hey, hey, hey. What is going on here?"
The Huffington Post said Thiessen looked "a little uncomfortable, perhaps because she's been avoiding a reunion for years." That's okay; with any luck, the '90s nostalgia movement will NEVER happen.
BTW, if you're looking for Haskins on TV these day, you're in luck. Last year, he was "Cool Whip Test kitchen scientist" on Mad Men. We all gotta pay the bills.
