Smiths aren't quashing Smiths reunion rumors this time
Could the Smiths finally be ready to reunite? Sure, the rumor is floated every year or so, but a new report says the band has agreed to reform for four shows in the UK next year.
"We’ve now heard from several credible sources that The Smiths have agreed to reform in 2013 for four UK shows," the UK's Holy Moly reports. "And despite such rumours turning out to be total balls in the past, this one has enough weight to it that we’re prepared to call it confirmed, and hang the consequences."
Granted, I've never heard of Holy Moly, but let's hear them out.
"What we’re hearing is…. The Smiths will reform in 2013," the site says. "It’s a done deal. Dates are booked. Glastonbury is one of four dates, presumably the Saturday on the Pyramid stage."
That's more detail than I can understand. So let's just stand by while we wait for the usual denials from Morrissey and Johnny Marr .... cricket, cricket. No denials yet?
Slicingupeyeballs.com says the reunion could just be Moz and Marr, and that's probably good enough for most fans.
