Still got the human touch: Rick Springfield coming to St. Pete's Ribfest
Rick Springfield, who is incapable of putting on a concert that is less than fantastic, is coming back to Tampa Bay. The Rickster is set to play Ribfest in St. Petersburg on Saturday, Nov. 13.
Springfield is no stranger to the food-in-the-park circuit. He's been a regular at Ribfest and Taste of Pinellas over the years, but his live act never gets cold or stale. Still one of the hardest working (and best looking) 61-year-olds on the planet, he's had more than 20 tunes in the Top 100 over his career. Sure you can name Jessie's Girl and Love Somebody. But come on out, grab a rib and sing and sing along to a dozen other tunes you've sadly forgotten.
As for the other acts at Ribfest, well, last time I saw them, it might have been on a very special episode of What's Happening!
(Okay, because you really want to know: Doobie Brothers, Dave Mason, Lee Brice, Phil Vassar, Eric Church and Grand Funk Railroad.) Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
