Still a sledgehammer at 60: Happy birthday, Peter Gabriel

Peter Gabriel
is easily one of the most interesting musicians of the 1980s, even though I'm sure he'd bristle at having his creative contributions limited to a single decade.

Today, the man behind Shock the Monkey, Games Without Frontiers, Sledgehammer, Don't Give Up and so many other iconic tunes our of decade turns 60 years old. I can think of no better way to honor him than with a podcast tribute to his 1986 album So.

Meanwhile, a bit of bad news for Genesis and Gabriel fans: Peter confirmed late this week that he will NOT be in attendance when Genesis is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Instead he'll be rehearsing for a world tour set to begin later this spring.

We hope you change your mind, Peter. It'd be nice to see you and the old gang back together one more time.
