Supertramp reunion tour? No, but close enough

breakfastinamericatourrogerhodgsonwithbandadmatroger_hodgson_finalbrea.jpgConfession time: The only two reasons I bought Supertramp's 1979 classic album Breakfast in America were: 1) The tasty breakfast shown on the album. 2) The little video game bleeps you hear during The Logical Song.

But after those initial attractions, I grew to really love the album and the band in general. Too bad they split up before I ever got a chance to see them live. Until now. Sort of.

Roger Hodgson, the lead singer of tunes like Logical Song, Long Way Home, Dreamer and other hits, has just announced a fairly large U.S. tour beginning in August. He promises to play plenty of Supertramp hits, but look for some of his solo work sprinkled in there too, says

Sadly, no Southeastern dates. So I'll have to settle for staring at the kippers and eggs a while longer.
