Terminator scene-stealer ready to clash with another '80s titan
Actor Sam Worthington is on an '80s roll. First, he steals all the glory from Christian Bale in Terminator Salvation. Now, he's jetting off to the Canary Islands to star in the remake of Clash of the Titans.
Worthington takes on the role of Perseus (played by Harry Hamlin in the original 1981 flick). Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes are on board, playing the gods.
How much will Worthington channel Hamlin's wide-eyed performance? Not much, it seems. He has a more revenge-minded take on Perseus.
"He's Charles Bronson in Death Wish," the actor tells Entertainment Weekly. "That's how I'm playing him."
Worthington won raves from fans and critics this summer for his work in Terminator Salvation as Marcus Wright, a role originally offered to Christian Bale who turned it down and chose to play John Connor instead.
