Tiffani's saved by the bell

Ready to give a shout-out to an 80s star who isn't pushing 50-plus yet? Tiffani Amber-Thiessen turns 32 today. And she BARELY makes it to Stuck in the 80s birthday tribute status, thanks only to her role as Kelly Kapowski on TV's Saved By The Bell, which started in 1989. Whew!

She'll probably forever be known to her fans as Valerie Malone on TV's Beverly Hills 90210. (Two of her notable big-screen roles came in movies starring Paulie Shore and French Stewart -- say no more.)

Here's some notable trivia on Tiffani:
-- She won the Miss Junior America pageant in 1987 at age 13.
-- Though she's best known for her roles playing a high school student, she never attended an actual high school. (She graduated from a school for kids in show business.)
-- She's often mistaken for Yasmine Bleethe in public.
-- Her two TV shows -- Saved By The Bell and Beverly Hills 90210 -- both used the same fictional college in their plots ... California University.
-- She has recently dropped the "Amber" from her name, simply going as Tiffany Thiessen.
-- A pro baseball player once sent her a naked photo of himself along with note asking for a date.
-- Radio shock jockey Howard Stern reportedly said Thiessen had the best ... ummm ... bosom in Hollywood.
-- Speaking of which, she recently started a production company to develop TV, film and children's books projects. The company's name? Tit 4 Tat Productions.

Some things you just can't make up.
