Top 10 bio-pics: No. 10 ... My Left Foot

The list of the Top 10 Bio-Pics of the '80s gets started today with a movie that just snuck into our beloved decade:

10. MY LEFT FOOT (1989): Daniel Day-Lewis surprised everyone by winning the Oscar for Best Actor for his portayal of Christy Brown, an Irish poet/painter who was crippled with cerebral palsy.

What the critics said: "My Left Foot is a great film for many reasons, but the most important is that it gives us such a complete picture of this man's life. It is not an inspirational movie, although it inspires. It is not a sympathetic movie, although it inspires sympathy." - Roger Ebert
