Videogame porn of the '80s ... thankfully safe for work

pong-3.jpgAs a young teenager in the 1980s, videogames were an important part of my life ... seeing as I had zero social life. In the years before this nerd was herded to the Gap, I spent hours -- I spent days -- in my bedroom (crafted out of the garage of my parents' house) playing with the only friends I had -- the kind that came in black plastic boxes. (Cue the REO Speedwagon here.)

It all started with Pong. The Sears version of Pong, I'm pretty sure. And I'm also pretty sure I played it wearing polyester shirts just like this guy on the right. I was so good, I could have gone pro. Only two problems: There wasn't then (or now) a Pro Pong League. And my only competition was my 7-year-old sister, so in reality, the polyester shirt was the least of my problems.

And so, with tissues in hand, I give you a gallery of the greatest video game consoles of the 1980s.
