Warrant rocker Jani Lane found dead at 47
Sad news from Los Angeles: Former Warrant lead singer Jani Lane was found dead late Thursday night in an L.A. hotel room. He was just 47 years old.
Most hair metal fans know that Lane struggled with addiction problems. That, coupled with business disagreements with the band, led him in the mid '90s to leave the band, which had been scoring huge record sales and fame beginning with the single Cherry Pie.
According to media reports, Lane's body was found and pronounced dead by the fire department, which responded to a call at the Woodland Hills Comfort Inn hotel around 5:30 p.m.
No cause of death has been released yet.
