What today's kids need: a Rambo coloring book
Sometimes in the world of '80s addiction, I'm just at a loss for words. Sylvester Stallone, your Rambo Coloring & Activity Book is going to give me more sleepless nights since the time I googled "Kristy McNichol naked."
Maybe I should blame the Studies in Crap blog from the Kansas City Pitch. But I can't because I love that blog. Give them credit for unearthing this child's salute to fighting Communist aggression in a Missouri antique mall.
The comic book was produced in 1985, right after the Rambo: First Blood Part II hit theaters. Stallone's career was at its apex. Maybe this coloring book was the curse. After this came out, his next movies would be Cobra, Over the Top and Tango & Cash. Yes, there is karma, and this is proof.
In the book are an assortment of nightmare activities for your children, including a color-by-number exercise of field artillery, an follow-the-dots page (which when completed is a portrait of Col. Trautman) and of course, plenty of shirtless illustrations of Rambo.
We hope you bought your kids a lot of the "flesh" colored Crayolas. Go to Studies of Crap to see more photos -- like this one of Rambo with a deer. Because we all remember that scene from the movie, right?
