You don't want Steel Breeze anymore?

As MTV kicked off their second year in the summer of 1982, they didn’t have to wait too long to add Steel Breeze’s You Don’t Want Me Anymore to its rotation. The song made it all the way to No. 16 on the charts and squeaked into Casey’s Top 100 Year End Countdown as the No. 100 song of 1982.

Steel Breeze’s excellent follow-up song, Dreamin’ is Easy, also made the Top 40, but that would be the last time this Sacramento band would chart despite releasing four more albums up to 1994. The chance of Steel Breeze coming back is just as likely as the stripped shirts in this video making its way back into fashion. And that is a shame.
