Cover or karaoke? This version of 'Addicted to Love' is both

Are you addicted to cover songs in the '80s? If so, here is one that might make your head spin - it's Ciccone Youth and their remake of Robert Palmer's Addicted To Love.

With equal parts parody and appreciation, alternative legends Sonic Youth teamed with fIREHOSE's bassist Mike Watts to create a short-lived project name Ciccone Youth with the joke being that Ciccone is the real last name of Madonna. Ciccone Youth first recorded versions of Madonna's Into The Groove and Burnin' Up before targeting Palmer's iconic Addicted To Love.

In true snobby fashion, the video for Addicted To Love is an eye-opener with Kim Gordon strutting her stuff in front of images of soldiers on maneuvers. If Ciccone Youth's version sounds like a karaoke version, then you are correct as Gordon's vocals were recorded in a karaoke booth.
