Dennis DeYoung reacts to Jimmy Fallon-Paul Rudd spoof of Styx video
Have you seen last week's spoof of the Styx video of Too Much Times On My Hands by Jimmy Fallon and Paul Rudd? If not, you're the only one. Even Dennis DeYoung has seen it now and is commently publicly.
"The only thing funnier than this tribute is the original video," the former Styx frontman said over the weekend on his official Facebook page. "Jimmy Fallon as me, how cool. Paul Rudd with full beard as Tommy. Each member is so faithfully recreated that I didn't realize at first that i was listening to a rerecord. This could be because I was laughing louder then the music."
He continues: "The most important thing Jimmy said considering all the things he did say this week was his heartfelt praise for the incredible variety of music the band was able to pull off, from hard rock to ballads to Mr Roboto. We just want to rock...oh."
Too Much Times On My Hands was the second single of Styx's 1981 album Paradise Theatre. It would eventually rise to No. 9 on the charts and is still played live regularly. Here's the spoof video followed by the actual video.
