Eddie Murphy, Judge Reinhold to reunite in 'Beverly Hills Cop' TV pilot
Eddie Murphy and Judge Reinhold. Axel and Billy Rosewood. It's like Kibble 'N Bits, but different. Yes, Murghy and Reinhold are reprising their roles from 1984's Beverly Hills Cop for a new TV pilot based on their hit movie.
The Wrap says a source from the CBS show has confirmed the reunion, though the network hasn't commented. And let's just all say what we're thinking: OF COURSE, Murphy was going to make a cameo. The whole show idea doesn't work without Axel! Adding Reinhold, who was underappreciated for his contributions, is icing on the cake.
The TV series, which might be more drama than comedy (intentionally this time), focuses on the son of Axel Foley, a police officer played by Brandon T. Jackson. Other actors on board include Kevin Pollak (The Usual Suspects) and Sheila Vand (Argo).
