Friday lost and found: Utopia's 'Feet Don't Fail Me Now'

As we wrap up Cars Week, you may ask how does a Utopia song figure into the mix? In 2005 a pseudo-reunion occurred when Elliot Easton and Greg Hawkes reunited with Todd Rundgren to form The New Cars to pay the bills. So to connect the decks, we have Todd Rundgren with his band Utopia and silly video for Feet Don't Fail Me Now.

In 1983, Feet Don't Fall Me Now was the lead single off the self-titled Utopia album and tripped when it only made it to No. 82 on the singles chart. Still, the song is a perky winner that features the members of Utopia in caterpillar (or is it a centipede?) costumes in a video reminiscent of the early video experiments on MTV.

Rundgren is still in the studio and performing as his 24th studio album State was released in 2013. He will also be at Ruth Eckard Hall on April 13th.
