Godfather's Wednesday mantra: 'Birth, School, Work, Death' ... and pizza
So it’s Hump Day and you’re filling a little beat down by The Man. Console yourself in that you are not alone with the ‘80s goodness that is The Godfathers’ Birth, School, Work, Death.
OK, so maybe the lyrics are a bit of a downer, but the guitar riffs hit the sweet spot in 1988 when pop music was getting a wee bit formulated. The Godfathers just released a new album this spring and will be touring in Croatia this month if you are in the neighborhood.
Until the band appeared on my radar in 1988, Godfathers meant only one thing to me – pizza! The Godfathers Pizza franchise featured memorable commercials and for a several-year period was the Friday night after-the-game-hangout for our high school.
So what is your favorite Godfather? Is it Marlon Brando, pizza or the band from England?
