Guns N' Roses reunion will pay the band up to $8 million per show
The Guns N' Roses reunion is now seemingly confirmed, with Axl, Slash, and Duff McKagan all on board for a headlining gig at Coachella followed by a stadium tour, according to multiple reports.
What did it ultimately take to bring the feuding sides back together on one stage? Turns out the pricetag was between $3 million and $8 million PER SHOW, so ... umm yeah ... let's let bygones be bygones.
Coachella, the annual music and arts festival in Indio, Calif., is usually the setting for performances by bands catering to what I consider the musically ambivalent and socially handicapped millennial generation. However, in recent years, it's seen its share of '80s acts, including Duran Duran, the Jesus and Mary Chain and even AC/DC.
Billboard.com reports that after the April festival, GNR will embark on a tour of up to 25 football stadiums across North America over the summer. Ticket prices are expected to reach up to $275 per seat.
