He-Man, Masters of the Universe returns with new episode
By the power of Greyskull, He-Man has returned. According to Entertainment Weekly, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe will air a new episode at San Diego’s Comic Con on Wednesday. Here’s the trailer.
The original cartoon, as we all remember well, debuted in 1983 and lasted just two seasons. A live-action film, starring Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella, also hit theaters in 1987 but was a cult classic (and I use that phrase loosely) at best.
The latest He-Man episode, entitled “The Curse of the Three Terrors,” was developed by Super7, a company that originally began as a magazine about Japanese toys. It has since branched out into books, vinyl figures and action figures.
EW also reports that another live-action Masters of the Universe movie is in the works, with McG (Charlie’s Angels) handling the directing duties.
