Here's the Crowded House song that should have charted higher

We’ve documented plenty of excellent Australian bands that never made it big in America on Lost and Found, but thankfully America clued in on Crowded House, though we sure took our sweet time.

In 1986, Crowded House released their self-titled debut album and released two singles Down Under before Don’t Dream It’s Over and Something So Strong finally caught on worldwide, including the U.S. in 1987.

The single The World Where You Live attempted to become the third Top 40 hit for the Crowdies, only to peak at No. 65 on the U.S. charts.

The trio from Melbourne, led by Neil Finn, is now a four-man band. Original drummer Paul Hester committed suicide in 2005 after battling depression.
