Here's the other tune from Golden Earring we never get to hear

Not a day goes by when Classic Rock Radio doesn't play a Golden Earring song. Granted its either one of two songs - Radar Love and Twilight Zone - so it's time to expand our knowledge of Golden Earring and open the vault again to unearth the video chestnut for Clear Night Moonlight.

This is the second appearance for Golden Earring on Lost and Found as a few years ago we featured the humorous and macabre video for When The Lady Smiles from its 1984 album N.E.W.S. The next single and video off the N.E.W.S. album is just as interesting as the Dutch band visits the heartland of America for Clear Night Moonlight.

The video starts off with the hooligan members of Golden Earring whisking a young lass out of her bedroom window in search of adventure. A joyride across the Midwest ensues with robbery, murder, mayhem and multiple driving infractions before an surreal climatic finale featuring a kid eating a watermelon that needs to be viewed to be appreciated. While a Top 10 hit in their home country of the Netherlands, Clear Night Moonlight did not chart in the U.S.

While Golden Earring's recording days are in the past, they still perform in Europe on a regular basis.
