Honeymoon Suite makes us feel Canadian again

The January weather has been mighty cold for many of us, but we shouldn't complain too much as we still are warmer than our neighbors to the north in Canada. In honor of our frozen friends, let's spend a whole week (again) celebrating some of Canada's best lost songs starting with Honeymoon Suite and Feel It Again.

This is the third appearance for Honeymoon Suite on Lost and Found but it's been many years since we've featured their songs like New Girl Now and Burning In Love that were both from their 1984 self-titled album. Today we move on to 1986 and Feel It Again, the only song by Honeymoon Suite to hit the U.S. Top 40 peaking at No. 34.

The video for Feel It Again will probably look familiar as the image of lead singer Johnnie Dee running in place on the green screen is either one of the worst effects in '80s music videos or outstanding depending on how much you like cheesy special effects (count me in the later). The running in place is just the tip of all the activity happening in the busy and colorful Feel It Again video that includes some great hair by lead guitarist Derry Grehan.

The same year Feel It Again was a hit, Honeymoon Suite won the Juno Award for Best Band. Despite many personnel changes, Honeymoon Suite never broke up and in 2016 they released an eight-song EP called Hands Up.
