If anybody had a heart, this John Waite song would have been a huge hit

It's been a good week on Lost and Found Meets The Movies Part 4, so while we really don't need to pander, we will anyway and feature one of Steve Spears' favorite movie songs with John Waite and If Anybody Had A Heart from About Last Night...

While If Anybody Had A Heart has long been touted on the Stuck in the '80s blog and podcast as one of Spearsy's favorite songs from one of his favorite movies, the song still receives little or no retro airplay despite Steve's steady raising it to the heavens. It is also a little head scratching of why it wasn't a big hit in 1986 as Waite was only two years removed from hitting number one with Missing You and About Last Night ... was a box office hit and garnered a four-star review from Roger Ebert. Still the single only peaked at No. 76 on the pop charts and the video has the uneasy vision of Waite's bad ponytail along with some clips from the movie starring Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, James Belushi and Elizabeth Perkins.

A little over a year ago, Waite released his EP Wooden Heart and is touring acoustically to promote it this year.
