If the Stray Cats want to reunite, I won't stand in their way

The Stray Cats stormed the music scene in 1982 with their rockabilly revival that included songs that everybody remembers like Rock This Town, Stray Cat Strut and (She's) Sexy + 17, but in your nostalgic state, do you remember I Won't Stand In Your Way?

This song was the follow up single to Sexy + 17 off the Rant N Rave with the Stray Cats album. The melancholy single reached No. 35 on the charts at the end of 1983 and would be the last Top 40 hit for the Cats.

The video shows off Brian Setzer's greaser look and multiple tattoos in an era when only sailors had multiple tattoos. Now just about every soccer mom sports a not-so-cleverly-hidden tattoo. The video recalls the '50s revival craze that was prevalent in the early ‘80s with the hair, the cars - everything looks authentic except for the girl in the video who at a little past the 3:00 mark briefly visits an the ice cream truck only to place a call from a phone booth eating what appears to be a Pac-Man ice cream bar?

The Stray Cats broke up and reunited multiple times over the years, but in 2009 finally called it quits again - for now.
