J. Geils Band's long-forgotten Halloween-themed classic

The horror film Fright Night has held up well over the decades with a 7.1 IMDB rating and paid tribute in the form of 2011 bid budget remake. Also holding up is on this All Hallows Eve is the video for title song Fright Night song by the J. Geils Band.

When Peter Wolf left the J. Geils Band in 1983, the troops carried on with Seth Justman on vocals and in 1985 they scored their last chart single with Fright Night that peaked at No. 91. The video for Fright Night is a good blend of footage from the movie and some humorous scenes with the band.

Sitting on Fright Night's mantle is Saturn Awards (the Oscars for Science Fiction/Horror/Fantasy films) for Best Movie, Best Writing (director Tom Holland) and Best Supporting Actor for Roddy McDowell. The movie is also responsible for boosting the careers of Chris Sarandon (Princess Bride) and Amanda Bearse (Married With Children).

These days, the  J. Geils Band is in a state of flux. They don't play together often, but in 2015 they did play some dates and currently Wolf is back in the band, but founder Jay Geils is out. Go figure.
