Lost and found: Alice Cooper 'Clones'

In 2011, Bobcat Goldthwait directed perhaps the darkest comedy ever called God Bless America. In the film, the disturbed main character, Frank, stumbles onto a teenage girl named Roxy who believes Alice Cooper the most important individual in rock history and states her case in this NSFW clip

I wouldn’t go as far as Roxy, but Alice Cooper was a pioneer and no stranger to trying new musical styles as evidenced by 1980’s Clones. Clones gets in on the new wave movement and the song actually made the Top 40 peaking at No. 40. It would take nine more years before Alice would return to the charts with his comeback Top 10 hit Poison.

Alice is on tour with Marilyn Manson, still hosts a syndicated radio program and plays a lot of golf. and

For those who like twisted humor, I recommend both Bobcat directed films: World’s Greatest Dad and God Bless America. His movies often include ‘80s music references and cameos by ‘80s artists.
