Monday lost and found: Canada's Honeymoon Suite and 'New Girl Now'

Oh Canada, we stand on guard for thee. We love your accent, The Kids In the Hall, Bob and Doug McKenzie and of course, your music, including Honeymoon Suite. Honeymoon Suite shook off their first night jitters in the US during 1984 when they made it to No. 57 on the singles chart with New Girl Now

As Clark Kent and Lois Lane would attest, the unofficial Honeymoon Capital of North America is Niagara Falls and it was no coincidence that Niagara Falls is the town in which Honeymoon Suite was formed. New Girl Now along with Feel It Again and What Does It Take is one of a trio of songs that most ‘80s music lovers know from Honeymoon Suite.

Most ‘80s movie fans recognize What Does It Take from the John Cusack camp classic One Crazy Summer. Movies lovers might also remember Honeymoon Suite singing the title track for Lethal WeaponHoneymoon Suite is still together and still performs in concert for their fellow Canadians.
